Neuroprotective Effects of Lantana camara in BPA Induced-cognitive Dysfunction and Oxidative Stress in Rats

The present study was aimed to screen neuroprotective effects of lantana camara in BPA induced-cognitive dysfunction and oxidative stress rats. In methodology animals were divided into 5 groups. Group I serve as vehicle control group administered with 2 ml normal saline. II 50 µg/kg for 21 days. III IV served drug treated pre 1 week methanolic extract L.camara (250 500 mg/kg bw/day orally). V standard piracetam 200mg/kg i.p. after the completion dosing, rats subjected various test analyze their behaviour performance later sacrificed further test. Animals screened elevated plus maze Y-maze. evaluated brain anti oxidant parameters like catalase (CAT), Estimation lipid peroxidation (LPO), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione (GSH). All Parameters have shown better results when compared toxic These findings provide a preliminary evidence its potential effect.
